Visit the Best Live Music Venues in Roanoke

When you want to hear some good music, the best music venues in Roanoke have you covered. They offer an array of genres and welcome artists from near and far. The venues near our Roanoke apartments include:

The Spot on Kirk

Nestled downtown, The Spot on Kirk offers an intimate venue unlike any other. It holds about 130 people, and there’s not a bad seat in the house. The shows may feature local or national artists, and you will enjoy some of your favorite musicians while discovering new ones. Genres include the blues, folk, hip-hop, and even Zydeco.

Dr. Pepper Park at The Bridges

For some outdoor fun, head to Dr. Pepper Park at The Bridges. It hosts concerts and some of the city’s most popular events like the Roanoke Wing Fest and the Woofstock Dog Festival. The musical performances vary. You can hear everything from country to Pink Floyd tribute bands. Tickets are easily purchased online, and guests can bring their own lawn chairs.

Jefferson Center

What was built as a high school built in 1922 is now home to the Jefferson Center. The school’s auditorium featured a 17th-century “shoebox” English opera house design. Today, it’s home to the Shaftman Performance Hall. In the late 1990s, an extensive renovation kept the existing marble, wood paneling, and cast plaster finishes. Workers expanded the stage and added comfortable new seats and strategically placed speakers to enhance the sound. Today, a wide range of artists take to the stage. You can hear Tanya Tucker, Celtic Thunder, and many more.

Before the show, enjoy some of the tastiest barbecue in town. If you would like to call The Orchards home, please contact our leasing team. They will arrange a guided tour where you can see all that our apartments in Roanoke have to offer.
